About Wicked Good Cards
Who We Are
Wicked Good Cards™ is a Maine-based 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to delivering handmade greeting cards to care communities across Maine so people receiving care can stay connected to the people they love. EIN: 33-4871340.

What We Do
Wicked Good Cards places handmade greeting cards directly inside care communities so people can choose a card to share with someone they care about.

Cards are placed in settings where people may be navigating illness, recovery, transition, or loss. Within these communities, cards may be used in many ways—by patients, residents, caregivers, volunteers, or family members—depending on what feels supportive in each moment.

Some cards may be shared by patients with loved ones. Others may be used by family members, caregivers, or staff to offer encouragement, gratitude, remembrance, celebration, or comfort.

By placing cards directly within care communities, we remove barriers to access and create simple opportunities for connection.

Why We Do It
Our mission is rooted in the belief that dignity is supported when people are seen as whole individuals, not only by the circumstances or diagnoses they carry. People receiving care remain parents, grandparents, daughters, sons, siblings, friends, and partners with identities and relationships that matter deeply.

A handmade card may seem small, but choosing one for someone you care about is an act of independence and agency. That moment of choice affirms identity, preserves connection, and allows people to show up for others even during times of vulnerability.

By making handmade greeting cards accessible within care communities, we help people stay connected to each other—whether that means sending a birthday wish to a grandchild, writing a note of thanks, sharing encouragement, or a message of love.

How Cards Make a Difference
A handmade card offers a simple, tangible way for people to share how they feel in moments that matter.

The Difference of Handmade: Handmade cards look and feel different. Each one is distinct, thoughtfully designed, and made with care. That difference matters in moments that call for recognition, comfort, and connection.

Messages That Matter: All donated cards have a blank interior, giving the person sharing it space to write their own words. Whether the message is brief or reflective, it becomes a personal exchange shaped by the relationship between giver and recipient.

How We Work
Rooted in Maine: Wicked Good Cards is proudly based in Maine, where our mission began. Our current focus is on serving Southern Maine care communities while building a model designed to grow responsibly over time.

Wicked Good Standards: Every card we deliver must meet clear standards for quality, durability, and appropriateness in care environments. We focus on handmade cards that are thoughtfully designed, well constructed, and suitable for hospitals, shelters, and community settings.

Artistic Partnerships: Wicked Good Cards works with artists and studios whose work meets our quality standards. We look closely at design, intention, materials, and construction in every card we accept so each one feels worthy of donation and of the message it will carry.

Kindness in Circulation: Cards are placed within partner organizations to be available when needed. As they move through communities, they are shared between patients and loved ones, caregivers and residents, staff and families, supporting an ongoing exchange of care.

Where We Make an Impact
We are currently establishing our initial partner relationships. As cards begin reaching care communities, we will share delivery updates and stories through the Giving Gallery.
