We are artists, thinkers, teachers, and helpers — united by a commitment to put our creativity to work in service of our communities. Each of us contributes in different ways, but we share one purpose: ensure handmade cards reach our nonprofit partners across Maine so they can place them into the hands of people who need comfort, encouragement, and care.

Shannon Cyr
Founder & President
Shannon is the Founder, Visionary, and Creative Force for Good behind Wicked Good Cards.

With more than 25 years of experience in Learning and Development and Operational Excellence, Shannon brings a rare blend of creativity and logic to Wicked Good Cards, combining artistic vision with thoughtful systems design.
​
Her career has centered on bringing clarity to new ideas: building systems, shaping learning, and creating structure where none existed. She brings that same strength to Wicked Good Cards by defining its voice, setting its direction, and building the foundation that keeps the mission focused, intentional, and sustainable.
​
Shannon designs each card from concept to cut, selecting the materials, crafting the prototypes, and guiding the creative direction for every card that carries the Wicked Good Cards name.​ She is supported by a hands-on, deeply invested board that helps craft and deliver cards, prepare materials, and support each step of the process.
Together, they make the vision possible — one handmade card at a time.​​​​

Michael Cyr
Co-founder & Treasurer
Michael is the Co-founder, Master of Coin, and Chief Believer behind Wicked Good Cards.

With over 25 years of experience in software engineering and systems development, Michael is a Lead Software Engineer who has built reliable systems, architected elegant solutions, and approached complex technical challenges with clarity and precision. His work is grounded in thoughtful planning, sustainability, and a steady ability to anticipate what’s ahead. He brings long-term perspective, creative insight, and a wicked good sense of humor to the organization.

Michael offers a measured, analytical approach to Wicked Good Cards, helping keep the mission focused, organized, and sustainable. Known for his calm problem-solving and ability to navigate complexity, he ensures decisions support both the mission and its future growth.

Formally trained in the arts, Michael has a strong foundation in drawing and painting. His detail-driven eye supports Shannon’s creative process by refining layouts, balancing color, and strengthening alignment—helping each card feel cohesive and true to its purpose to uplift, encourage, and connect.
